Serving as the President and Principal Broker of Coldwell Banker Realty Hawaii, leading the state’s top residential real estate firm. Under his leadership, the brokerage achieved $1.99 billion in gross residential sales in 2023, completing 1,935 transactions and commanding the largest market share on Oahu, particularly dominating the luxury segment over $2 million. 

With a real estate license since 1989, James brings decades of experience to his role. His background includes service in the U.S. Air Force and ownership of several small businesses in Southern California and Lake Tahoe, experiences that have honed his leadership and financial acumen. 

James is renowned for fostering a culture of continuous education and ethical practice within his team. He emphasizes the importance of staying updated with evolving laws and market conditions, ensuring that agents are well-equipped to serve clients effectively. His commitment to the principle of “doing the right thing” permeates the organization’s operations, contributing to its reputation for integrity and excellence. 

Previously, James held the position of Group President for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in California and Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties in Hawaii, overseeing 56 offices and more than 4,000 independent sales associates.  In 2020, he focused exclusively on leading the Hawaii operations, continuing to drive growth and uphold the company’s standards of professionalism and client service. 

James’s leadership is characterized by a dedication to agent development, client satisfaction, and maintaining Coldwell Banker Realty Hawaii’s position as a market leader in the state’s real estate industry.
